In 2025, Morocco will experience an unprecedented transformation of its olive industry. The Moroccan Interprofessional Olive Federation (Interprolive) projects 200,000 tonnes of olive oil production, more than double from 2024, with an exportable potential of 60,000 tonnes. At the same time, the new American customs duties position Morocco in the minimum taxation of 10%, compared to 15 to 25% for Spain, Italy, Greece and Tunisia.
However, the vast majority of this production leaves in bulk, anonymously, without polyphenolic documentation. Folk Oils is building a direct, documented sector positioned in the most promising segment: high phenolic functional oil.
