Why this study
Botanical supply chains are often told without data. FolkCarbon starts from a B2B invoice ratio (35.68 t CO₂ per 1,000 L argan) within the Arganeraie Biosphere Reserve. Goal: a verifiable base for buyers and media : not a marketing claim.
Human and industrial context
Afoulki Cooperative, founded by Lhajja Fatima Aït Moussa, anchors the chain in a women-led project. Folk Oils extends that supply chain (Afoulki women producers) to the Nouaceur plant and export. The carbon study does not erase that story: it quantifies biomass and soil with published assumptions.

Limits & good faith
The ratio is not a certified carbon credit until VCS/CRCF files close. INRA/DARED, NEXT-FAO and ANDZOA sources need stable URL/PDF links (placeholders on the methodology page). Any press republication must keep these caveats.
