Why this study
Botanical supply chains are often told without data. FolkCarbon starts from a B2B invoice ratio (≈ 35.7 t CO₂ per 1,000 L argan) within the Arganeraie Biosphere Reserve. Goal: a verifiable base for buyers and media — not a marketing claim.
Human and industrial context
Afoulki Cooperative, founded by Lhajja Fatima Ait Moussa, anchors the chain in a women-led project. Folk Oils extends that network (12 cooperatives, 2,826 women) to the Nouaceur plant and export. The carbon study does not erase that story: it quantifies biomass and soil with published assumptions.

Limits & good faith
